As some of you may have known, I got the boot (realistically called a lay off) a couple of weeks before Christmas.

Just a surprise for everyone that got shown the door as it was far from expected, but I digress.

I am very close to closing the deal on a new position tomorrow as I had my fourth interview with the company today, and if a background check comes back clean (as it will), and some final points on vacation time and medical insurance get worked out, I could be starting the new position on Monday!

So everyone cross you fingers for me, as I look forward to having a paying job once again that will allow me to continue the fairly limitless purchasing freedom that I have come to enjoy!
